Dr M. Elieson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. He attended Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.  He also completed his general surgical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch.  He completed a clinical fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Bariatrics at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Institute in Baton Rouge, LA.

Dr. Elieson is Licensed in Texas and Louisiana and is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery.  His is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Tarrant County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association.

Areas of special interest include Advanced Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Abdominal Surgery including the lower esophagus, stomach, colon, solid organs (liver, spleen and adrenal glands), hernia repairs, and bariatric surgery (weight loss surgery).
