Robert S. Pollard, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Photo of Dr. PollardDr. Pollard is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, receiving his Bachelors of Arts Degree in 1976. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio in 1981. Dr. Pollard received his surgical training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas from 1981 though 1986. He continued at Baylor for an additional year of training in peripheral vascular, after which he joined Surgical Associates of the Mid-Cities in 1987.

Dr. Pollard is a member of the Tarrant County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. 

Dr. Pollard's special interests include minimally invasive vascular surgery (such as angioplasty or balloon surgery), surgery of the carotid (neck) artery, and aneurysm surgery of the aorta.  He also has a special interest in laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic hernia surgery, and thyroid surgery.
